    Particulate Matter Monitor

The SISCO particulate matter monitor features patented, improved AC coupling technology. Based on the principle of dust particle charge induction, it achieves accurate detection with high sensitivity and excellent linearity. It provides a standard two-wire 4-20mA linear current output, allowing direct connection to PLC, DCS, or PC systems without special transmission cables, facilitating long-distance signal transmission and data processing. Designed for low drift and high stability (less than 1% annual drift), it also incorporates a built-in fault diagnosis mechanism for easy maintenance, making it a reliable solution for continuous industrial dust monitoring.

    Linear Detection & AC Coupling

    • AC coupling technology detects the electrostatic charge induced by dust particles passing through the probe, converting the charge into a control signal output. It offers high detection sensitivity and good linearity, accurately reflecting changes in dust concentration.
    • The air particulate monitor features a standard two-wire 4-20mA current output, with the output current linearly corresponding to the dust concentration (0%=4mA, 100%=20mA), eliminating the need for special transmission cables and facilitating long-distance signal transmission.
    • Multiple selectable measurement ranges cover areas from 0~9mg/m³, 0~12mg/m³, and even 0~1000mg/m³, with a nominal dust particle size measurement range of 0.1μm-200μm, adapting to dust detection needs of different concentrations and particle sizes.

    Isokinetic Sampling with Three Baselines

    • Isokinetic sampling testing and calibration allow setting three baselines: normal operation, alarm, and excessive emission. Accurate calculation of dust emission concentration is achieved through the K conversion factor.
    • The particulate matter monitoring equipment uses an aluminum alloy housing and a stainless steel probe, ensuring stable operation in non-corrosive environments and resisting certain vibrations and electromagnetic interference.
    • The particulate monitor can work stably in a variety of harsh industrial environments, with a protection level of IP66/NEMA4, and has good dustproof, waterproof, and vibration resistance.

    FAQs

    Q1: What air quality monitor?
A1: Air quality monitor is a product that can detect formaldehyde, PM2.5, TVOC and temperature and humidity in real-time, small and exquisite, easy to carry. Through its internal original imported sensor, it can accurately measure the pollutant concentration and calculate the air quality index AQI, and alarm when the concentration exceeds the standard.

Q2: How does an air quality monitor work?
A2: Air quality monitors are equipped with several sensors to detect different types of pollutants. Electrochemical sensors detect oxygen levels and the presence of toxic gases by reducing oxygen through electrodes and measuring its concentration. Particle detectors detect dust, pollen and mold by passing a laser through the air inside the sensor. Based on the intensity and array of light beams, the monitor can determine the concentration of particles in your home. The monitor displays the current air condition of the indoor space. Some have color coding or numbering systems to indicate hazard levels.

Q3: What is an air quality monitor used for?
A3: The air quality detector can be used to detect various harmful substances such as PM2.5/HCHO/TVOC/AQI/PM1.0/PM10, and can also test indoor air quality such as humidity and temperature. If the indoor air quality is poor and there are many harmful substances, an obvious prompt will be given, and it is recommended that you start to purify the air. At the same time, many air detectors are gradually becoming more intelligent, which can be remotely observed and controlled by mobile phones, which is more convenient.

    • Tips: Sampling and Air Path Details of the Particulate Matter Monitor
Bend Angles Change Particle Size Distribution. A 90° bend causes large particles to "disappear" due to inertial settling, leading to an underestimation of PM10.
    • Isovelocity Sampling is More Important Than Location (Industrial Scenarios). In flues or ducts, if the sampling flow rate does not match the main airflow, significant particle size deviations will occur.
    • Sampling Tubes "Collect Dust".Electrostatic adsorption and internal wall roughness can cause ultrafine particles to remain trapped for extended periods, especially in flexible plastic tubes.
    • Built-in Fan ≠ Stable Flow Rate. After the fan ages, PM readings may "appear normal," but the actual sampling volume has changed.
