    Overview

SISCO sun radiation sensor with spirit level & handwheel focuses on durable construction and convenient operation. It is designed for straightforward setup, easy tuning and low-maintenance use, supporting dependable solar radiation readings with minimal effort.

    Sun Radiation Sensor Product Overview

Stable Measurement Through A Dedicated Optical Sensing Chain

    • A wide-spectrum sensing design keeps the output continuous and consistent as irradiance changes.
    • The optical path is protected against dust buildup to help preserve long-term transmittance consistency.
    • Low nonlinearity and stable annual performance reduce drift during continuous outdoor exposure.
    • A short response time supports timely capture of changing solar radiation levels.

Efficient Field Deployment and Bus Integration

    • The leveling structure shortens installation alignment time and helps reduce tilt-related measurement error.
    • Register-level access allows direct reading of radiation values and adjustment of deviation settings for on-site calibration.
    • Device address and baud rate can be configured to support multi-device RS485 bus networking.
    • Wide-voltage, low-power operation reduces supply constraints and supports long-term online use.

    Applications

SISCO sun radiation sensor supports solar energy utilization, meteorology, agriculture, building material aging studies and air pollution monitoring, providing consistent solar radiation measurement for environmental observation and long-term assessment.

    FAQs

Q1: Can the sun radiation sensor connect directly to a PLC or data logger?
A1: Yes. The sun radiation sensor uses standard Modbus-RTU RS485 communication and can connect to a PLC, data logger, or monitoring system supporting Modbus-RTU.

Q2: How is the deviation value of the sun radiation sensor adjusted?
A2: The deviation value is written to register 0052H. This read/write register has a range of 0~1800, allowing deviation adjustment through Modbus-RTU commands.

Q3: What should be checked if the sun radiation sensor reads 0?
A3: Check whether a light source is present, whether the protective cover has been removed, whether the 485 bus is disconnected, whether A and B wires are reversed, whether the power supply meets the marked requirement, and whether the device is damaged.

Tips: Where should the sun radiation sensor be installed for reliable readings?

    • An open location with a clear view of the sky should be selected, avoiding obstructions above and around the sun radiation sensor.
    • The sun radiation sensor should be kept away from shadows cast by buildings, trees or poles throughout the day.
    • Reflective surfaces such as metal roofs, water or glass should be avoided to reduce reflected radiation interference.
    • Installation near heat sources, strong electromagnetic equipment or interference-prone cable routes should be avoided.
