What is an Air Quality Monitor?

The air quality monitor is a product that can detect formaldehyde, PM2.5, TVOC and temperature and humidity in real-time. It is small and exquisite and easy to carry. Through its internal sensor, it can accurately measure the concentration of pollutants and calculate the air quality index AQI, and alarm when the concentration exceeds the standard. The principle of the air quality monitor is to detect the signals of the front-end formaldehyde sensor, PM2.5 sensor, TVOC sensor and temperature and humidity sensor, amplify the weak signal of the sensor through the operational amplifier, and remove the noise interference through the filter circuit, then collect it through AD, and use 32-bit high-precision CPU processing and calculation, converted into pollutant concentration values, and displayed on the LCD screen.

    Features of Air Quality Monitors

The instrument can monitor the concentration of gas and inhalable particulate matter, and display them on the display screen at the same time. An air quality detector can monitor four parameters at the same time. The working mode of the instrument is automatic sampling and automatic analysis. The measured concentration is directly displayed on the display screen, and the daily average and monthly average are automatically calculated, and 30 days of monitoring data can be stored ( including daily and monthly averages).

The portable air quality detector is equipped with USB and RS485 data transfer interface, which can transfer the stored data to the computer. The instrument is designed to be powered by a rechargeable lithium battery, and it can also be powered by AC 220V. When using AC 220V for power supply, it is also charging the built-in lithium battery. When there is no AC 220V power supply, the instrument will automatically start the lithium battery to supply power, so that the air quality monitor can be used as a portable instrument or as an online instrument.

It is available with a photosensitive sensor, which can automatically sense the intensity of light in the environment, thereby automatically adjusting the brightness of the screen. When the external light is very strong, the display screen of the tester will automatically increase the brightness to ensure a clear display. And at night when the light is dim, it will automatically reduce the brightness so as not to glare.

When the portable air quality monitor measures the concentration value, it can switch between mg/m3, ppm, and ppb units, and has a dynamic image display at the same time. The air quality monitor adopts a large-screen graphic liquid crystal display, which can intuitively and dynamically display various detection data.

In the outdoors, the main air pollutants include sulfur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, ozone, PM2.5 and PM10. Indoors, the main pollutants in the air can be composed of formaldehyde, carbon dioxide, TVOC, and PM2.5, which mainly come from chemical plants, thermal power plants, pharmaceutical factories, semiconductor purification workshops, operating rooms, etc. In this environment, air monitors obviously need to have the function of comprehensively monitoring these major air pollutants. SISCO portable air quality monitor has this function. It can detect formaldehyde (HCHO), Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOC), and particulate matter (PM2.5/PM1.0/PM10) in the air as well as temperature and humidity.
