    Overview

Designed for reliable battery monitoring, this battery charge indicator provides automatic 12V/24V recognition, a stepwise LED battery gauge display, flashing reserve warnings, and power-off memory. The rugged IP65 housing and simple installation suit demanding vehicle and marine applications.

LED Battery Charge Indicator Light Bar Display

Battery state monitoring and low battery alerts

    • Automatically recognizes 12V and 24V lead acid batteries without manual adjustment.
    • Displays real-time state of charge with 10-segment tri-color LED bar: green (41-100%), yellow (21-40%), red (≤20%).
    • Flashing alerts: the second LED from left flashes for energy reserve; the first and second flash together when the battery is empty and needs replacement.
    • Step-down only display shows real discharge from full to empty – no false rise without charging.

Smart memory, charge detection, and rugged design

    • Power-off memory remembers the last state of charge after power loss.
    • Smart charge detection: 10th LED lights only when voltage >13.5V (12V system), preventing false full readings from surface charge.
    • C-Control terminal allows connection to ignition or key switch – gauge runs only when vehicle is on.
    • IP65 waterproof rating and wide temperature range from -40°F to 185°F for reliable outdoor use.

    Applications

LED battery indicators are used to monitor the state of charge for lead-acid batteries in applications such as trucks, RVs, golf carts, boats, forklifts, electric scooters, solar systems, and any battery-operated equipment.

    FAQs

Q1: Does this battery indicator work on both 12V and 24V lead acid batteries?
A1: Yes, it automatically recognizes 12V and 24V lead acid batteries without any manual switches or settings. Simply connect the Pin+ to the battery positive, Pin- to the battery negative, and connect the C-Control terminal to V+ to start the gauge. The voltage recognition is fully automatic based on the battery's actual voltage.

Q2: Why does the display only go down and never go up during use?
A2: This gauge is designed with a step-down only logic to reflect true battery discharge. When a battery is under heavy load (such as climbing a hill in a golf cart), the voltage may temporarily drop, but the actual state of charge hasn't changed. The gauge prevents false readings by not rising without proper charging. Only when a stable charging signal (voltage >13.5V for a 12V system) lasts for a certain period will the gauge show step-up.

Q3: What do the flashing LEDs mean?
A3: The 2nd LED from the left flashes to indicate "energy reserve" – you should charge the battery soon. When both the 1st and 2nd LEDs from the left flash together, it means the battery is "empty" and needs to be replaced with a new one. These alerts help you avoid unexpected breakdowns during operation.

Tips: How to install and use this battery indicator correctly?

The battery indicator is designed for panel mounting on trucks, RVs, golf carts, boats, and other battery-operated equipment. Proper installation and wiring ensure accurate readings and prevent battery drain.

    • Choose a dry, vibration-free panel. Connect the C-Control terminal to a key-switched positive wire (ignition) so the gauge only draws current when the vehicle is on, preventing parasitic battery drain.
    • The gauge ships with a factory-set “full” memory. After connecting a new battery, keep it powered for at least 2.5 minutes. The gauge will then display the actual battery level and memorize it.
    • If the 2nd LED from the left flashes, charge the battery soon. If both the 1st and 2nd LEDs flash together, the battery is empty and needs replacement.
