    Overview

SISCO high-temp float level switch uses a hermetically sealed reed switch actuated by float magnet movement. This 304SS float level switch adopts vertical installation and rugged stainless construction. Always use a relay with this high-temp float switch when controlling loads above 0.3A to protect the internal reed.

Precise ON/OFF Control Based on Float Tilt

    • Tilt angle determines switching: closed at 0–10°, open above 35° for clear ON/OFF states.
    • 304SS construction prevents scale buildup and ensures smooth float movement.
    • Stable performance is maintained even at continuous 120°C operating temperature.
    • The internal reed switch is hermetically sealed, eliminating false triggers in this 304SS float level switch.

Stable Signal Output with Relay Safety

    • Both Normally Open and Normally Closed output modes are supported for flexible wiring.
    • Maximum switching current reaches 1.5A with contact resistance below 0.2Ω.
    • Direct PLC connection is allowed, but an intermediate relay is required for loads above 0.3A.
    • Insulation resistance ≥10⁸Ω and 220V DC rating offer reliable electrical safety for this high-temp float switch.

    Applications

SISCO high-temp float level switch is widely used in hot water storage tanks, steam boilers, chemical reactors, food processing lines, and wastewater treatment plants for dependable ON/OFF level control in high-temperature environments up to 120°C.

    FAQs

Q1: Can this 304SS float level switch be installed horizontally or on the side of a tank?
A1: No. This high-temp float level switch is designed for vertical installation only. The switching action depends on the float tilting within a specific angle range (closed at 0–10°, open above 35°). Side-mounting prevents proper float movement and will cause malfunction. Please ensure the tank opening is on the top for vertical insertion.

Q2: Why must a relay be used with this high-temp float level switch?
A2: The internal reed switch in this 304SS float level switch has a limited contact rating. Directly driving loads above 0.3A (such as pumps, heaters, or motors) will cause arcing and burn out the reed contacts. Always connect a relay (under 3W) between this high temp float switch and the load, or use a contactor for high-power equipment. Direct PLC connection is safe without a relay.

Q3: What is the maximum working temperature of this 304SS float level switch?
A3: This high-temperature float level switch is rated for liquid media up to 120°C continuously. The 304 stainless steel body withstands high temperatures without deformation, and the internal reed switch maintains stable performance at this temperature. For applications exceeding 120°C, please consult our engineer for customized options.

Tips: How to maintain and troubleshoot this high-temp float level switch?

    1. Inspect the float movement periodically. Ensure the float on this high temp float level switch slides freely along the stem without sticking, as any obstruction will cause incorrect switching of the 304SS float level switch.
    2. Check contact resistance regularly. Use a multimeter to measure the closed-circuit resistance of this high-temp float switch; if it exceeds 0.2Ω, the reed contacts may be worn or contaminated.
    3. Clean the 304SS stem and float with mild detergent. Scale or debris buildup on this high-temp float level switch will restrict float tilt angle and affect ON/OFF accuracy.
    4. Verify the relay operation. If the controlled load fails to activate, test the relay coil first; the reed switch inside this 304SS float level switch is often not the root cause of failure.
    5. Seal the cable entry properly. Ensure the cable gland of this high-temp float switch is tightened to prevent moisture ingress, which could reduce the insulation resistance below 10⁸Ω and cause leakage.
