    Travel Carbon Monoxide Detector

The SISCO travel carbon monoxide detector is a practical and multi-functional monitoring device. Its core function is to detect methane/liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) concentrations from 0~8000 ppm and carbon monoxide concentrations from 0~999 ppm. It also features temperature and humidity monitoring capabilities, operates on AC 100~240V power, and boasts an intuitive LCD screen and multi-level concentration color bars. It is ideal for installation in bedrooms, living rooms, or vehicles, providing practical environmental safety alerts for daily travel and home life.

    Dual-Gas Detection & Multi-Parameter Monitoring

    • The travel portable carbon monoxide detector is a dual-function device that detects both combustible gases and carbon monoxide. It can detect combustible gases such as methane/liquefied petroleum gas and toxic carbon monoxide. The measurement range for combustible gases is 0~8000ppm, and for carbon monoxide, it is 0~999ppm.
    • It also includes temperature and humidity detection functions. The temperature detection range is 0~100℃ (32~212℉), and the relative humidity detection range is 0~99% RH, meeting multi-dimensional environmental monitoring needs.
    • When the carbon monoxide concentration exceeds 300 ppm or the combustible gas concentration exceeds 3000 ppm, the detector will immediately trigger an audible and visual alarm, displaying different colors according to the concentration change.

    Monthly Self-Test & Energy-Saving Backlight

    • The travel portable carbon monoxide detector is equipped with a TEST button, allowing users to manually test the detector's operating status monthly to ensure proper functioning.
    • The automated screen backlight brightness adjustment function reduces backlight brightness by 50% after 1 minute of inactivity, and automatically turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity without alarms. Upon button press or device alarm trigger, the screen immediately returns to full brightness, effectively saving energy, and is suitable for long-term monitoring.
    • It can be easily installed on a wall, 1.2 meters above the ground or 0.3 meters above the ceiling. If using natural gas, it is recommended to install the detector above ground level, as natural gas is less dense than air.

    Applications

In underground mines, residual carbon monoxide after blasting can be monitored to prevent poisoning and explosion risks; in chemical workshops, carbon monoxide leaks can be detected in real time to ensure production safety; in underground garages and tunnels, CO concentrations from vehicle exhaust can be monitored to prevent poisoning; and during fire rescue operations, it can be used for detection at fire scenes and in confined spaces to protect the safety of rescue personnel.

    FAQs

Q1: Where should a carbon monoxide detector be installed?
A1: It is recommended to install one near each bedroom and on each floor of the house. The best location is on a wall or ceiling, 1.5-2 meters above the ground, away from doors, windows, fans, or HVAC vents.

Q2: Do I need a carbon monoxide detector if I already have a smoke alarm?
A2: Yes, you must. Smoke alarms cannot detect colorless and odorless carbon monoxide gas. They have different functions, but are both essential for home safety and are indispensable. There are also combination detectors on the market that combine the functions of both.

Q3: What should I do if the detector alarms?
A3: Immediately evacuate to a place with fresh air outdoors, turn off the gas supply (e.g., close the gas valve), do not touch any electrical switches, and call emergency services or the gas company for help. Return only after a professional has checked and confirmed it is safe.

Tips: How long after powering on will the detector start detecting normally?

The travel portable carbon monoxide detector will enter a 200-second warm-up period after powering on. During this warm-up period, there will be no detection function, and the screen will display the real-time reading in seconds. After the warm-up period, it will enter normal monitoring mode, at which time it can accurately detect data such as gas concentration, temperature, and humidity.
