    Overview

SISCO ultrasonic level switch provides precision presence/absence sensing for opaque or transparent targets. Its ultrasonic level sensor uses advanced signal processing to ignore acoustic interference, while the NPN switching output ensures easy integration. The robust stainless-steel design guarantees long-term reliability in demanding environments without contact with the measured medium.

    Dual-Mode Detection and Flexible Control

    • This ultrasonic level switch offers two operating modes and straightforward field adjustments to match various point-level applications.
    • Set a single detection threshold anywhere within the 5-500 mm range; when the target arrives, the NPN output changes state immediately.
    • Define two separate distance limits to create a window zone – the output stays active for any object between these two points.
    • An adjustable hysteresis (deadband) is available to eliminate output chatter when the measured level fluctuates near the switching boundaries.
    • Switch between normally open and normally closed logic by simple wiring, and use the push-button with a bi-colour LED for quick on-site teaching and status verification.

    High-Precision Measurement and Stable Output

    • Achieve 0.5mm resolution and 0.3% repeatability of full scale, capturing even minor level changes with confidence.
    • Built-in temperature compensation automatically corrects for sound-speed drift caused by ambient thermal variations, keeping readings stable across the operating range.
    • Non-contact sensing eliminates mechanical wear and prevents contamination, making the sensor suitable for corrosive, sticky, or opaque media.
    • The rugged 304 stainless-steel housing (M18, IP65) withstands harsh industrial environments, while optional analog outputs (4-20mA / 0-10V) or RS485 communication enable easy integration with PLCs.

    Applications

SISCO ultrasonic level switch with NPN output and 5- 500 mm range is widely used for liquid level control, tank overfill prevention, pump dry-run protection, and presence/absence detection in automated industrial systems.

    FAQs

Q1: Can the detection range of this ultrasonic level switch be adjusted within the 5- 500 mm span?
A1: Yes. This ultrasonic level switch allows you to set any detection point within the 5- 500 mm range via the push-button. You can choose single-point or two-point window mode for flexible level control.

Q2: How do I connect the NPN output of this ultrasonic level switch to my PLC?
A2: The NPN switching output sinks current to ground when activated. Connect the blue wire to DC-, the black wire to your PLC input, and the brown wire to DC+ (10- 30V DC). The output can be set to normally open or normally closed by wiring.

Q3: Does temperature affect this 5-500mm ultrasonic level switch?
A3: No. The sensor features built?in temperature compensation that automatically corrects for sound-speed drift caused by ambient temperature variations. This ensures stable and reliable detection across the full operating temperature range.

Tips: How to set up this 5-500mm ultrasonic level switch?

    1. One-button teach-in allows instant distance setting within the 5- 500 mm range – simply place the target at the desired position and press the S key for 3 seconds.
    2. Dual-mode flexibility supports both single-point and two-point window settings, adapting to various level monitoring needs without external software.
    3. Bi-colour LED indicator provides real-time feedback during setup, showing teaching progress and confirming successful configuration.
    4. NPN output with field-selectable NO/NC logic eliminates the need for additional relay modules, simplifying wiring and integration.
    5. Built-in temperature compensation ensures the configured detection point remains stable across ambient temperature changes, reducing recalibration frequency.
