    Hipot tester calibration

    Hipot meter testing

    Testing typically involves simulating an actual hipot test procedure to verify the hipot analyzer's proper operation. High voltage is applied using a standard load or dummy load, and the stability of the output voltage is observed. A standard resistor is used to simulate leakage current, and the accuracy of the hipot meter's displayed value is checked. When approaching or exceeding the set leakage current threshold, the overcurrent protection and breakdown alarm functions are confirmed to respond promptly. These steps determine the reliability of the hipot tester in a real-world testing environment.

    Hipot tester function

    A hipot tester verifies the insulation performance of electrical equipment. By applying a test voltage higher than the normal operating voltage, it checks whether the portable hipot tester's insulation materials, structure, and workmanship can withstand instantaneous high voltage without breakdown or leakage.
